Elen Tarasenko is a vital member of the Safe Gliders team. She combines her expertise in paraglider production with a budding passion for flying. As a student paraglider pilot, she brings the unique perspective of someone deeply connected to the craft and the thrill of flight.
Elen is a sewing production engineer and technologist who graduated from the Russian State University Technology Design and Art department. This background forms the foundation of her exceptional canopy construction and repair skills.
Elen’s technical knowledge is second to none. Her ability to design, repair, and optimise paragliders ensures that every piece of equipment meets the highest safety and performance standards. Whether crafting durable canopies or perfecting intricate repairs, her attention to detail and commitment to quality shine through in every project.
Elen sees her role at Safe Gliders as a unique and inspiring journey. “Our project interests me because of its uniqueness, scope, size, and location. Uniqueness is extraordinary people, their courage and freedom, and their skills in operating equipment in the air. The scope is the far-reaching goals of the project and the international community. Size is the shape and design of the paraglider; it is huge but sewn from small parts of weightless and super-strong fabrics. The location is unique in Turkey, a paradise for everyone who loves nature, the sea, and the mountains.”
Before joining Safe Gliders, Elen’s adventurous spirit led her to ski and SUP instructor roles, furthering her connection to the great outdoors. She thrives in environments where precision and teamwork are key, often volunteering as the team’s pick-up driver on flying days. Her love for the sea, beaches, and stand-up paddleboarding complements her dynamic role within the company.
Elen’s blend of technical expertise and infectious enthusiasm for outdoor life makes her an invaluable part of the Safe Gliders family. She wishes everyone safe, fun, and memorable flights!
